Hugh Freeze has a remarkable coaching record, both at major schools and overall. At major schools, he has a 640-50 win record at 11 schools, and a bowl record of 9-6. He also has a 667-63 win record at all schools. Overall, Freeze has a 69-32 career college coaching record and a 39-25 mark at Ole Miss. He guided Ole Miss to back-to-back New Year's Six bowl games in 2014 and 2015.

Freeze has a proven track record of quickly elevating programs. He has an experienced head coach at the collegiate level for 12 years and has quickly elevated each program he's coached. At Ole Miss, he was less than a decade removed from the high school ranks and had only one year of head coaching experience at the FCS level. Despite this, he quickly turned the Rebels into a competitive SEC program.
